Today, during circle time we read The Carrot Seed. For one of our small groups we did dot matching on fruits and vegetables. We chose a fruit or vegetable and then glued pom-pons on the dots drawn on them. For our other small group we got to play pinch the pepper or squish the squash on the iPad! For our large group we got to paint using brown paint mixed with dirt to make soil for our gardens. We had an amazing day!

Today, during circle time we read At The Farmer's Market. For one of our small groups we practiced our sorting skills. We sorted through fruits and vegetables and put them in separate baskets. For our other small group we matched vegetable seed packets. For our large group we laced grapes. We took grapes and put them on a skewer, and made fruit kabobs! We had a fantastic day.

Today, we got a special visit where we learned about lifejacket safety! During circle time we read Bean in a Bag! For one of our small groups we measured fruits and vegetables with cubes and blocks. For our other small group we made our own bean in a bag! We wrapped a bean in a wet paper towel, stuck it in a plastic bag, and now we are gonna observe it through the week to see if there's any changes. For our large group, we painted with brown paint that looked like dirt, and carrots as our paint brushes! We had an awesome day.

Today, during circle time we read The Night Before Easter. For one of our small groups we hatched letters! We cracked open plastic eggs, and matched the letters to letters on a puzzle board. For our other small group we were given three words, and had to choose which two rhymed. After doing so, we put those words on our letter wall! We also celebrated a birthday today. We had a fantastic Friday!
