Today, we read Funny Farm! We identified numbers and put the identified number of spots (pom pom ball) on our cows. We identified beginning letter sounds for the names of our animals. Next, we talked about how butter is made and we made our own butter! We poured heavy whipping cream into mason jars and shook them while we sang Old Mac Donald! We had a great day!

Doctoring the pig!

Shaking up some butter!

Snorting like a pig while singing Old Mac Donald!

We found a grasshopper on the playground!

Sadly, our grasshopper friend got stepped on so we buried him in the flower bed.

It's Farm week! Today, we read My Farm Friends! We sorted and counted our farm animals. We found that we had more pigs than any other animal and rabbits and turkeys had the least amount. We explored our sensory table of corn kernels, funnels, and scoops. We also stamped farm pictures!

Today, we read our star of the week's favorite book, Splat the Cat. Next, we made patterns with different color bear paws and we dug up bears that were hidden in play dough. Later, we stretched rubber bands to fit them around paper towel tubes. We also got a new friend, pretended in our bear cave, rode tricycles outside, drove little people around in cars, and had a tea party! We had a great day!

Looking at our gummy bear science experiment to see how they have changed!

Today, we read Don't Wake the Bear! We used our teddy bears to talk about location and position: on, in, under, over, around, up, down, next to, beside, behind, in front of. We looked at the letter S, made an S sound, talked about friend names and words that started with S, and drew S in shaving cream. We also laced buttons onto strings and fuzzy sticks.
