Today, we read Finding Courage and I am Happy. We really enjoyed looking at the different facial expression and making them too. We went on a picture hunt around the room looking for pictures of our friends and then finding the friends whose picture we found. We also explored yarn and noodles. Some of us just explored the noodles, some of us just explored the yarn, and some of us tried to lace the noodles onto the yarn! We drew on the mirrors with window markers! One little friend drew a picture of our volunteer! We also had a little taste of Vietnam for cultural day! We ate authentic Vietnamese food prepared by Ms. Susan! We also did a some sensory play with the sticky rice noodles! We had a fun day!

Today, we painted pictures with our grandparents for Grandparent's Day! We also read Making New Friends, worked together to put shapes into shape sorters and then stamped faces and talked emotions. We also played on the playground and rode in the wagon! Thank you to the grandparents who were able to be here today!

Today, we read Mr. Fix-its Opposites and then we were fix-its too. We hammer pegs and twisted nuts onto a plastic bolt. We drove work trucks, played dress-up, explored the touch board, danced, and practiced cutting. We also paint dobbered for a parent gift which we finished today!
Have a great weekend!

Today, we read Little Critter Astronaut and then we dug around in moon sand to find "moon rocks!" Next, some of us had fun filling and dumping our flower basket and some of us sorted flowers and then counted them. We also played on the playground and squirted water bottles pretending we were firefighters.

Today, we read Bea at Ballet and then we danced to "Gummy Bear!" We used hair curlers for nesting cups and explored feely gel bags. We also colored with crayons and made a collage by tearing paper and sticking it to contact paper. We were very interested in the weather today. It was neat to see the rain and lighting and to hear the thunder.

In celebration of Labor Day, our theme this week is "Workers." Today, we sang and danced to "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" and then read Race Cars. We did an activity where we had to listen to a direction and place our worker in the direction given. For example, "Put the worker on the cup" or "Put the worker inside the cup." We did another activity where we raced our car around the tape track. We talked about moving slow and fast. We also played ball and laced beads onto pipe cleaners.
