We had a great day today in the toddler room. We started off our day with our Muffins for Mom celebration. After breakfast we sang "I Love Mommy" and read On Mother's Lap. We went on a flower hunt around the classroom, counting how many flowers we could find. We also used our fine motor skills to pinch clothespins and clip them onto a ribbon.
Have a great weekend and Happy Mothers Day!

Today in the Toddler room we sang and danced to "Flowers Tall and Small" and read Spring. We explored the sensory table with flower seeds and pretty flowers.  We practiced taking apart and putting together by using different sized hair curlers like nesting cups. We explored art materials by painting with rolling pins that had different textures and some that had yarn wrapped around them. We also painted cupcake liners with paint dabbers.

We had such an awesome day! We are learning about may flowers and mothers day. We sorted flowers by color and type. We painted with paper towel tubes to make flowers, but most of us thought it would be fun to use our fingers and hands instead. It was really fun and really messy. We read In The Garden With Van Gough. We also sang "Ring Around the Roise" and made tissue paper flowers.

Today, we painted with combs making our very own rainbows. We explored the sensory table  full of cotton balls and rainbow colored paper strips. We made umbrellas using our fine motor skills to pick up small pieces of paper and stick them to the contact paper. We did "The Hokey Pokey" and read What makes A Rainbow. In the motor room, we climbed stairs, jumped on the trampoline, and pushed Ms. Daria on a scooter-board. Pushing Ms. Daria on the scooter-board was a good heavy-work activity.
 We had a wonderful day!!!
