Today we sang and the motions to "Seven in a Bed." We read I Am Happy and expressed the emotions in the book. We did a pattern matching activity, swung in the motor room, and explored our sense of touch by feeling gritty bird seed, squishy hair gel, rough and smooth egg cartons, soft cotton pads and stringy mesh. It was a great day!

In the toddler room we read Window's To Color. We peeled stickers off of a starry blanket and stuck them to individual sheets to exercise our fine motor skills and then counted how many stickers each child collected. In the motor room we played chase and tag. We also used our fine motor skills by using tongs to fill and empty bowls of pom poms. We have been doing this to practice our serving skills for meal times. We explored the sensory table with different fabrics and textures. It was a great day!

Today we sang "I'm a Busy Quilter" and read Owen, a story about a little mouse and his,transitional object or security blanket, the toddlers loved this funny story about Owen. We explored sensory dominoes comparing the likeness and difference of each domino. We counted beads on an abacus. We also played with the parachute. It was a wonderful day!

Today was so much fun. We are exploring quilts and blankets this week. Ms Daria read My Blankie to the class then we made a picnic on a quilt just like in the book. then we sang and jumped to "Five Little Monkeys". We played a game with our Discovery Dice, an activity that helps toddlers to learn and build on listening and responding skills as well as self help skills. Then we explored the textures squares, discussing how each square felt.

Welcome back to school! Since we a few toddlers who are working on potty training we read I Want to Potty. We made music with rhythm sticks and sang "Ring around the Rosie." Ms Coli from the Camden County Library visited our class today! Our toddlers were happy to see her and hear her songs and stories. We used our fine motor skills to pick up pom-poms with tongs. We also used markers as a special activity to color a picture! It was a lovely day! Have a great weekend and stay warm!

Happy New Year! We worked on a confetti collage today. We read A Beautiful Opps! and made music with rhythm sticks. We made rubber band paintings by painting and then snapping and popping rubber bands to create artwork. We also explored lentils with magnets and magnet wands. It was a great day in the toddler room!
