Feb. 15 Newsletter

We had a fun day today! We played in the motor room this morning! We enjoyed bouncing on our horse Rody, swinging, and playing ball. We also played with our new peg and hammer toy and our aquarium. We danced and played our musical instruments while singing "Two Little Blackbirds" and "I Love You, You Love Me."

Valentine's Day

What a day! We had so much fun today celebrating valentines day. Play dough, paint, and making bird feeders. The children loved making bird feeders their favorite part was licking all the peanut butter off. Another thing we did today was make red playdough. We had fun making shapes with our cookie cutters.  We also had fun going on a heart hunt!

Today we painted with our feet! We painted with red, orange, yellow, green, white, black and purple. When all of the colors mixed together it looked like the skin of a dinosaur, so we made a big dinosaur to put on the outside of our classroom door. 

Today was quite an eventful day. We went outside and looked for dinosaur tracks. We looked at dinosaur fossils. We even made our own tracks in the grass as well! We danced around  the room singing "Where oh where did the dinosaur go"? But follow the leader was our favorite game of the day.

Today we started dinosaur week, so if you see these little tots stomping around it's because they are pretending to be dinosaurs! We looked at a few different types of dinosaurs and then we painted and made dinosaur feet. 

We had a very eventful Friday! We enjoyed books. Our book of the day was We're Going on a Bear Hunt. We set up a "bear hut" for the children and they walked around our dark room with flashlights looking for brown bears. Some were even brave enough to go into the bear cave! We practiced our fine motor skills with a lacing activity and painting clouds with cotton balls for our art activity.
