Happy Valentine's Day! Today we read Clifford's Valentines written by Norman Bridwell. In this book, Clifford receives a bunch of Valentine cards from all of his friend so he goes out in the snow and draws them a big heart. We celebrated Valentine's Day by having our Valentine's party. We used our fine motor skills, to put each of our Valentine treats in each of our friend's party bag. As we passed these treats out we counted how many we were passing out. Besides our fun party, we had a yummy breakfast where we had a pink chocolate chip pancake and at lunchtime we had a PB&J in the shape of a heart.

 Happy Friday! Today we read Let's Count to Ten by Richard Scarry. We learned to count along with the characters in this book. During our literacy and fine motor activity, we colored in Valentine's Day monsters and placed eyeball stickers on them. Then we used scissors to cut our monsters out. Once we cut each of the monsters out, we used our sensory and science skills to glue them onto our paper bags that we will be using for our Valentine's party. For our math and cognition activity, we counted how many sticker hearts we decorated our Valentine's party bags with.

 Our book today was called Ten, Nine, Eight by Molly Bang. In this book, a little girl counts down all of the things that she does to get ready for bed. For our first activity, we used our math and cognition boards to make numbers and shapes on our geoboards. As we placed each band on our boards we counted them and recognized what we made with them. Then we used cardboard tubes to paint with using our sensory and science skills. We painted on papers that had the letter 'U' which is the letter of the week. We recognized what letter we were painting on by using our literacy skills.
