Today we read I Knew Two Who Said Moo by Judi Barrett and illustrated by Daniel Moreton. This rhyming book helped us practice our math skills as we counted many different animals. During our math and cognition skills activity, we built farm fences. Our farm fence was made with numbered popsicle sticks that had to be placed with the corresponding fence posts on the farm themed sheet. Using our fine motor skills, we painted two boxes green using paintbrushes. We are turning our two green boxes into a tractor that we can use for dramatic play in our classrooms! We also used our sensory and science skills to do a magic milk experiment. We poured milk into a pan and added in different colors of food coloring. The magic happened when we dropped one drop of dish soap into the milk.
