Today we read Grains by Nancy Dickmann. We learned about the different types of grains and how they can help our bodies be big and strong while we play and learn. For our first activity today, we used our literacy and fine motor skills to practice writing our names. We wrote our names first, hand over hand with a teacher, and then we tried to trace over our names by ourselves. Then we used our math and cognition skills to match tupperware lids to the right container. Each of our tupperware containers were different sizes so we had to make sure we got the right lid to its right container. During our sensory and science activity, we got messy while using kitchen utensils to paint. We used a big sheet of paper and lots of colors to see the different shapes that they utensils put onto our paper as we painted. Yesterday during snack time Ms. Tammy taught us about a dragon fruit to go with our letter "D" that we are learning about this week.
