Happy Thursday! Children's Learning Center has been having a blast learning about the 4th of July and crafting fireworks. Today we read Red, White, and Boom written by Lee Wardlaw and illustrated by Huy Voun Lee and saw pretty pictures of fireworks at night. The book walked us through the activities that one may participate in on the 4th of July! Our activities were such a blast today as well. For our first small group activity, we played yard games; specifically corn hole. We used our  cognition skills and spacial awareness to aim for the hole in the board. For our second small group, we used our fine motor skills to paint fireworks. We dipped forks in red or blue paint and pressed them in a circular pattern to make them look like fireworks. For our last activity, in a large group, we counted red, white, and blue confetti and matched it to the paper plate that had that number. We also identified the shapes drawn on those plates!

~Important Upcoming Dates~

CLC will be closed Monday, July 5th through Friday, July 9th for our summer break. We will resume our summer session on Monday, July 12th!
