It's Wednesday and we're halfway through learning about camping! Today we read Monarch Butterflies by Kate Waters. This book taught us all about the stages a monarch butterfly goes through to become a butterfly. For our first small group activity, we used our math and cognition skills to play a camping vocal memory game. The cards that we used for our game had different things that we would use to go camping and we talked about how we would use each item. During our other small group activity, we made fingerprint fireflies. We used our fine motor skills to dip our finger into the yellow paint and then we place our finger onto our paper. We also made leaf butterflies for our large group activity. Our butterflies were made out of giant leaves that we found outside that we glued on to our paper using our sensory and science skills.
