We had such a fun water day, playing with our new water beach ball!  We read Twinkle Twinkle Little Star by Sylvania Long.  We loved playing with the noodles in the sensory bin for our sensory/science activity.  For fine motor, we took paintbrushes and painted the brick walls, counting how many lines we could paint. During our cognition activity, we played ship wreck. Yesterday was Ms. Ashley's birthday, but she was gone so today we celebrated by singing "Happy Birthday" to her and enjoying a tasty treat during snack!

 Today we read The Noisy, Noisy Farm by Stephanie Stansbie and Veronica Vasylenko and talked about how noisy fireworks can be.  For math and cognition, we did flag star counting by matching the same number of stars to the flag with that number. Then, we had a pretend 4th of July picnic in the classroom for sensory and science.  At last, we had fun making American flags using red, white, and blue dot paint for fine motor and literacy.

 Happy Monday! This week we are learning about the 4th of July. For our book today, we read Curious George at the Parade by H.A. Rey. Curious George is waiting for the parade to start and talks about what he does before it begins. For our sensory and science activity, we learned about our culture of the month. Then we took our fine motor skills to color fireworks on a paper plate. We also cut parts of our plate to create big fireworks. During our math and cognition activity, we matched numbers on stars. The stars were red, white, and blue for the 4th of July.
