Today we read National Geographic Kids Halloween by Laura Marsh.  Then, we separated into two groups and danced to our favorite Halloween themed songs for music and movement.  Next, we got into small groups and did activities.  For science and sensory, we did a fun experiment. We watched the teacher put a balloon filled with baking soda over a bottle with vinegar, making it expand into a "balloon ghost". For literacy and fine motor, we tore orange tissue paper into tiny pieces for our letter of the week "J" in which we will use tomorrow to decorate them into "jack-o-lanterns".  For math and cognition, we counted the dots on pumpkins. Our food director, Miss Tammy has been making fun Halloween themed foods all week!  We are thankful for all of her creativity!

Friendly Reminders:

Please put your child's Halloween costume in their backpacks Thursday night for our Halloween party on Friday.
