Today we read The Leaves on the Trees written by Thom Wiley and illustrated by Andrew Day.  Then, we danced to Halloween songs during music and movement.  Next, we got into small groups and learned the ASL sign for "leaf" for literacy and fine motor. Afterwards, we practiced our shapes with squirrels and acorns for math and cognition.  Finally, we got real leaves, put them under our papers and rubbed crayons over the papers for sensory and science.
