This week we are learning about apples. At circle time, we read Jonny Appleseed by Jodie Shepherd and illustrated by Masumi Furukawa. After circle time, we got into small groups to do our activities. For our math and cognition group, we counted apple seeds and matched up the right number with the number we counted. Then in our sensory and science group, we did our sensory bin creation of lacing pipe cleaners through felt apples. We also got writing boards out and used our literacy and fine motor skills to practice writing the letter "E." We celebrated a friend's birthday this morning at breakfast.
