Today, we read Uncle Jed's Barber Shop by Margaree King Mitchell and Illustrated by James Ransome.  For one small group activity, we did a paint exploration activity where we made self portraits for sensory and science.  Next, for math and cognition, we played a matching game where the children picked a colored dog and velcroed it to the matching colored dog house.  Finally for language and literacy, we played another matching game, where we matched the family member to their name.  For example: a picture of a grandma matched to the word "grandma."

Please bring appropriate extra clothing for your child as the seasons are changing and a light jacket or hoodie.
