Today we read The Berenstain Bears Go to School by Stan and Jan Berenstain during circle time.  Then, we got in small groups we did activities.  For math and cognition, they picked numbered popsicle sticks and lined them up in order.  For sensory and science, we picked out yellow sticks and made school bus frames. For literacy and fine motor, we did American Sign Language "Days of the Week".  Today was an Indigenous People Cultural Day.  We read Why Butterflies Were Made retold by Vita Jimenex and illustrated by Catherine Huerta.  They had hamburgers with long grain wild rice in them for cultural Native American lunch.

Friendly Reminders:

Please bring hooded jackets for your children as they may need them while they are here.  CLC will be closed for Labor Day weekend next Friday, September 4th-7th.  Please remember to bring in your child's school supplies.
