Today we read Whales and Other Sea Mammals written by Anita Ganeri and Illustrated by Ross Watton. For math and cognition, we had star shapes with numbers on them in our sensory water table with soap suds. For science, sensory and literacy, we used the second sink full of suds to have the children fish for letters with pictures of different sea creatures and letters to match on them. We brought them to a table and played a matching game. They used their fine motor skills to grasp them and place them next to their matches. They continued watering their radish plants with spray bottles as well. We were able to have circle time and activities outside this morning with our water day!
Friendly Reminders:
Our next water day is on Thursday, July 16th. Please make sure your child has water shoes or sandals that can get wet on this day.
