Today during circle time, we read Insect Homes by Lydia Carlin. We talked about all of the kinds of materials that our homes had to go along with the book. Most of our friends said that their homes are made out of wood. Then, we went to small groups, where we counted bugs, named bugs, and wrote the number of bugs that we saw. In another small group, we used our fine motor skills and practiced cutting lines of where winged bugs flew by. Finally, as one large group, we went outside and had a bug scavenger hunt. First, we checked the grass yard. Then, when we couldn't find any real bugs, Ms. Adrienne went on the playground and hid some pretend bugs for us. We all had a great time with this activity!
Friendly Reminder:
CLC will be closed Monday, May 25th - Friday, May 29th.
