During circle time today, we read The Itsy Bitsy Spider, by Scholastic Inc. illustrated by Constanza Basaluzzo. In our math/cognition group, we used our fine motor skills lacing spider webs. For sensory/science, we did a nursery rhyme sensory bin where we played we mixed in items from rhymes like Hey Diddle Diddle, Mary Had a Little Lamb, and Humpty Dumpty. Then, we read and sang the nursery rhyme, The Itsy Bitsy Spider together. We had so much fun celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday today! We even had green eggs and ham for breakfast! Later, we have a special surprise for snack!
