Ms. Ashley visited us today to talk to us and she read us a book about nutrition and vegetables. Next, she let us guess what was in her special MU bag, and some of us guessed that it was a carrot! Then, she let us all try some carrots. Finally, she taught us some stretches and movements that were named after vegetables! We had so much fun with her! After Ms. Ashley left, we read Green Eggs and Ham, by Dr. Seuss in the motor room for a change of pace. Then, we went to circle time. In our math/cognition group, we did a green egg, flip and say, where we said which number or shape was on each of the eggs. For our sensory/science activity, we took our fish from yesterday, and threw them into our sensory bin, making them swim through letters and our February sensory objects! At another group we learned about rhyming words. We came up with words that rhymed with hat, ball, and tree! We had so much fun wearing our hats just like the Cat in the Hat!
