Today, during circle time, we read Hop on Pop, by Dr. Seuss. In our math/cognitive group, we counted lines and named the colors of the lines on "Cat in the Hat's" hats. In our literacy/fine motor group, we listened to the book, Bartholomew and the Oobleck, by Dr. Seuss. For our sensory/science group, we played with "oobleck," sensory putty! We finally got to play outside again!

Today, during circle time, we read Fox in Socks, by Dr. Seuss. In our sensory/science group, we made a green egg sink and we made it float! We learned that objects in salt water float because they are more buoyant than they are in fresh water. For literacy/fine motor, we did a Dr. Seuss, match that book activity. Finally, in our math/cognition group, we counted Dr. Seuss themed objects and matched the amount of items with the corresponding number. We had so much fun with our crazy sock day!
