Today, during circle time we read The Best Thanksgiving Ever. For our first small group activity, we explored the sensory bin filled with cranberries and utensils to pick them up. For our second small group activity, we matched pictures of pie! For our final small group, we colored turkeys with paint dotters. We had an awesome day and an even better Thanksgiving feast!

Our activities today were super fun! For our first small group, we used corn on the cob as paint brushes and rolled the corn across the paper after we stuck it in paint. For our second small group, we used play-doh cutters that were fall related to make different shapes in play-doh. For our final small group, we traced numbers on turkeys. We had a great day.

Today, we took advantage of the beautiful Fall weather and did our activities outside! For our first activity, we used feathers and beads to lace and to practice our fine motor skills. For our second small group activity, we put felt feathers on turkeys by "buttoning" the feather to the turkey. For our final small group, we identified numbers written on pictures of pie and put that many piles of whip cream cotton balls on them. We had a wonderful Wednesday.

Today, during circle time we read There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Turkey. For our first small group activity, we used pictures of food and pictures of the old lady and fed her the different items when the teacher called one out. For our second small group, we painted our palms brown and our fingers red, orange, and green to make hand turkeys! For our final small group, we matched feathers to their turkey by identifying and then matching shapes. We had a terrific Tuesday.

Happy Monday everyone! Have you had the chance to stop and think about what you're thankful for? Today, we worked on our thankful tree, which meant we had to all pick a few things that we are thankful for. After deciding what that was, we cut out a drawing of our hand, wrote what it was on there, and put it on the tree.We were so busy being thankful that we forgot to get pictures of the activity being done, so tune in tomorrow for more pictures!
