Water day Wednesdays are the best! We got to enjoy the water, and even turned the play-ground slide into a water slide.

Today, during circle time we read Fishy, Fishy. For activity time, we created our own star fish! We talked about the texture and colors of star fish, and then chose our own colors to decorate them with. After we colored them, we put cheerios on them to give the star fish their texture! We had a terrific Tuesday.

Off to the beach we go... this week is all about the ocean and beaches! During circle time, we read There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Shell. For our first small group, we used our hand prints to make crabs! For our second small group, we identified the first letter of each sea creature and used a clothes pin to mark it. For our final small group, we completed jelly fish patterns by identifying colors and choosing the picture that went next. We had a marvelous Monday.

Whoop, whoop, it was water day! We spent the morning playing outside in the water, and filling water balloons to soak each other with. We love the water as much as the sharks do!

Today, we read the book Surprising Sharks. For our first small group activity, we fed the hungry baby shark! He was on the hunt for the number 10, so we had to color any fish that had the number 10 on it so he could find it. For our second small group, we finger painted a dorsal fin to put on a hat to make a shark hat! We had a wonderful Wednesday.

Today, we continued on with our shark week theme! We made our own itsy bitsy shark books. Each page talked about a different shark, and we got to color them however we wanted. We also enjoyed the beautiful weather and spent most of our day outside.
