Today, at circle time, we read Froggy Builds a Treehouse. After reading, we talked about how we spend more time outdoors in Summer and about foods and drinks that we like when its hot outside. For our first small group activity, we identified number symbols on ice cream cones and then counted sprinkles on others to match. We conducted an experiment to make fizzy lemonade in the second group. We took turns pouring in water, squeezing in lemon juice, and then dumping in baking soda to watch the bubbly reaction. Then, all together, we made citrus paintings! We used halved lemons and limes to stamp unique artwork. It was a great Thursday!
