Before our doors opened, a special visitor gave us quite the surprise! At circle time, we read There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Shell. As our first activity, we sorted different types of shells into groups. We explored the sensory bin filled with sand, seashells, hidden sea creatures, and shovels for our second activity. We even identified letters on the shells as we played. Lastly, we painted shells by conducting an experiment. First, we dumped baking soda and our choice of water color in little cups. Then, we added our shells and poured vinegar on top to watch the bubbles cover the shells. It was a wonderful Wednesday!
