At circle time, we read The Day it Rained Hearts. Our activities focused on hearts today. For our first small group, we brought out the scale and worked on our predictions. We weighed out several different classroom materials and different amounts of candy hearts to see which weighed the most and to check if our guesses were correct. We experimented with baking soda poured inside heart shapes and squeeze bottles and eye droppers of red, pink, and purple vinegar in our second group. We even added glitter and watched as the bubbles spilled it over the shapes or moved it to the sides. To end activities, we came together as a class and painted our letter of the week (Ww) with special heart stamp clothespins. It was a great Thursday!
