To end our Halloween and pumpkin week, we read Pumpkin, Pumpkin at circle time. We talked about what seeds need to grow, and how they turn into flowers before pumpkins. For our first small group activity, we identified letters on pumpkins and matched them to the letters in the pumpkin patch. We discussed our predictions as we poured ingredients into a pumpkin, and then watched as the volcano of bubbles overflowed out for our second small group. We even got to play in the eruption! As our whole group activity, we measured our friends (and teachers) by counting pumpkins. We had a fun day, and a great week!
