To end the week, we watched a video of the book Biscuit's Picnic. For our first small group activity, we matched pictures of common picnic items and made patterns with them. We participated in an experiment with baking soda, vinegar, and watermelon as our second small group. We filled watermelon halves with baking soda and food coloring, then after we sprayed them with vinegar, we played in the bubbly watermelon! For our last activity, all together, we used our senses to explore slices of watermelon. We talked about how our pieces smelled, felt, and tasted! It was a fantastic Friday!
