Today, we watched a video called Circus Shapes and Colors. For our first small group, we cut tickets to the circus, and then counted how many we had. For our second small group, we decorated clown faces with different colored shapes. For our final activity, we had a glow dance party!! We put on glow necklaces and bracelets and danced until our feet were tired. We had a fantastic Friday!

Today, during circle time, we read If I Ran the Circus. For our first small group, we used tongs to grab balls and sorted them by size in separate bowls. For our second small group, we made patterns by using pictures of circus tents, lions, popcorn, and other items from a circus. For our final small group, we traced lines and the letter L, then colored a picture of a lion. We had an awesome day.

Today, during circle time, we watched a video for the book Peppa Pig and the Backyard Circus. For our first small group activity, we did a ball toss game! We tossed the football and whatever bucket it landed in we identified the number written on it. For our second small group, we matched pieces of popcorn by the letters they had written on them. For our large group, we made crumpled art! We crumpled up paper, painted it with water color paint, and when we opened the paper, it looked tie-dyed. We had an awesome day.

At circle time, we listened to another story on the iPad titled A Night at the Circus. In our first small group, we practiced our balance by walking on our own tightrope! We conducted an experiment by spraying vinegar on baking soda to identify the mystery colors as our second small group activity. Then, for our large group, we identified and glued shapes to create circus tents. We had a terrific Tuesday!

To begin our new circus theme for the week, we listened to a story on the iPad called Clifford Goes to The Circus. For our first small group activity, we explored colorful cloud dough in the sensory table! Some of us built castles, while others mixed the colors, and some even made cakes! We put together circus themed number puzzles in our second small group. Then, as a large group, we painted lions using orange paint and forks! We had a magnificent Monday!
