Today, during circle time we read The Itsy Bisty Spider. For our first small group, we put spider legs on pictures of spiders. We took turns rolling dice and then we put that many legs on the spider. For our second small group, we made our own spider webs! For our activity, we explored what it was like to have spider legs as fingers. We dipped our fingers in oil before touching a piece of tape, because spiders legs have oil on them that help them to not stick to sticky objects and then we touched the tape and our fingers slid right off! We had an terrific day.
