We started our community helpers week with reading Doctor De Soto at circle time this morning. We made predictions throughout the story and talked about real life connections we had with teeth and dentists. Then we introduced our new letter of the week, C, and discussed its sound. Our first small group activity involved counting teeth and matching numbered toothbrushes. For our second small group, we explored sensory bags filled with toothpaste slime as we discussed their colors, their textures, and found hidden beads. As our whole group activity, we cleaned dirty teeth with toothbrushes, revealing uppercase letters that we identified. We had an amazing Tuesday!
