It's Friday Fun-Day! We enjoyed a visit from our star of the week's mother for breakfast, and we had a good time listening as our star shared her favorite book, necklace, and toys at circle time! Outside we observed several bugs, and had a blast playing together! For our first small group, we took turns rolling dice, filling fences with animals, and then determining which fence held more. We explored the sensory bin filled with coffee "mud" and searched for colored pig tails for our second small group activity. As our whole group, we "sheared" ballon sheep covered in shaving cream "wool" to discover hidden letters that we then identified. Today was a fantastic Friday!

At circle time today, we read The Flea's Sneeze. We continued our farm theme with exploring a sensory bin filled with oatmeal, straw, tractors, and farm animals as our first small group activity. For our second small group, we identified different shapes on barns, and placed matching shape cutouts on top. We enjoyed practicing positional words by going in, under, behind, and beside our pop-up "barn" as our whole group activity. Today was a great Thursday!

Today was all about cows! At circle time, we read Funny Farm. We had fun looking at the pictures, and then pointing out things that we saw as we read our book. We helped our cows find their spots for our first small group activity, by counting pom-poms and placing them on the cows with tongs. For our second small group, we made and observed magic milk, by using water colors and dish soap. As our whole group activity, we identified our letter of the week, and then painted our letters with glove "utters". Even though our paintings were a little too wet to take home, we had a blast working with our special tools! It was a wonderful Wednesday!
