Today, we read The Rainbow Fish! Next, we went fishing for feelings using our magnetic fishing poles. When we caught a fish we talked about the emotion the fish was labeled with. Then, we made play dough rainbow fish. We also did an a cool science experiment! We put a few drops of food coloring in a dish of milk and then predicted what would happen when we dipped a q-tip in the milk. When we did that the milk pushed the color away from the q-tip. Next, we dipped the other end of the q-tip in dish soap and then predicted what would happened when we dipped that in the milk. When we dipped it there was a color changing explosion! Here is a link to the experiment if you want to try it with your child. It was quick, but fun! We got a surprise today from our wonderful volunteer, Miss Alisha, since today was her last day with us! She got us chalk blocks!
