Today, we read Critters, Pass the Fritters! Our morning message was "What do you eat at a picnic?" Responses were strawberries, ice cream, sandwiches, and watermelon! We talked about how sometimes when you eat outside it attracts ants, so we did an experiment to see if it would happen to us. We went to grassy area and left a piece of watermelon, a piece of bread, marshmallows and raisins by a tree. When we went back to check on them after two hours we didn't see any ants so we decided to leave it to check again later. Next, we did an activity with play food, baskets, and blankets. We used our listened for directions of where to put the food. We did under, on, in, next to, behind, in front, left and right. We also made contact paper picnic blankets. We had such a fun day!
