Today, we read Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? We explored how to use different tools to manipulate play dough. We explored Brown Bear characters by matching pictures of clip art animals to pictures of real animals. We also did yoga, traced lines, colored pictures, and played in the motor room.
We hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th of July! See you July 6th!

Today, we read Ten Little Rubber Ducks. We talked about the opposite of dry being wet and then we had water day! It was SO much fun! We washed our cars, ran through a sprinkler, played in tubs of water, and went down the slide! We also doodled with dry erase markers on whiteboards and played in the classroom! We had a great day!

Today, we read Little Cloud! We painted puffy clouds with a glue and shaving cream mixture. Next, we talked about more/less and heavy/light when putting cotton balls into a balancing scale. Later, we used tongs to transfer cotton balls. Tomorrow is water day, so don't forget your gear!

Today, we read The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse and then we were artist too! We painted using different types of painting tools. It was neat to see the different marking each tool made. Next, we counted animals and hooked links together for the corresponding number of animals. Later, we drew on marker boards with dry erase markers.

This week is Eric Carle week in honor of Eric Carle's birthday on June 25th! Today, we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar. In one group, we fed the hungry caterpillar. We chose his food, labeled it, and counted. In the other group, we had a science art project. We scooped colored baking soda onto our papers, dipped roller sponges in vinegar, and then rolled them on the baking soda causing it to fizz and color the paper. Later, we laced food beads onto string or wooden rods.
