Today, we read The Splendid Spotted Snake and then danced in the mirror. We worked our fine motor muscles with pop up toys, peg boards and puzzles and then we played outside. We did animal print puzzles and tried to figure out which animal the print belonged to. We also did a barefoot sensory walk! During our walk, we talked about how each item felt to our feet. The items were warm, cold, dry, wet, squishy, soft, and scratchy. It was exciting!

Today we read Who's Hiding? and then made music and danced like monkeys. Then we gave our zoo animals a bath. After all that fun they had in the play dough, they needed it! We also drove cars on the playground and sorted pom poms and craft sticks.

Today in the toddler room we explored animal prints in play dough. We pretended with the little people zoo and matched square blocks to pattern cards. We also stacked ribbon spools and read Two At The Zoo.

This week in the toddler room we are learning about the Zoo. First, we build enclosures for our zoo animals. Then we explored lentils and magnets in the sensory table. We read Let's Go The Zoo and sang "Head Shoulder Knees and Toes." We had a great day!

Today we danced and made music in the motor room. We read Llama Llama Hoppity Hop. We stacked pegs and sorted them by color and then put cotton swabs through the small hole on parmesan cheese containers. We also played tennis with a balloon and fly swatters and scooped moon sand. 

Today we read Rustie Learns to Swim and danced to toddler tunes. Then we played on the playground and had water day! We splashed in the water, scooped up the water, poured it out and scooped up ping pong balls out of the water and transferred them to another tub of water! We had lots of fun! When we came inside we did a fine motor activity pushing craft sticks through slits in a lid. We also played table hockey with scrubbers and lids.

Today we read Pooh Stretching and stretched like Pooh and Tigger were in the book. We danced, sang and made music. We rolled balls down a ramp and talked about how fast some rolled and how some rolled slower. We also talked about size. We did a transferring activity taking balls from the basket and putting them into the sensory table. This was an easy way for us to exercise our fine motor skill. We also made a circle collage.

 Today in the toddler room we painted with balls! We each picked a color and squirted it in the pool and then we shook the pool back and forth to make the balls roll around! It was so much fun! We explored beans and scoops.  In the motor room, we took turns on the swing, rolled on the floor, jumped on the trampoline, and spun on the sit n spin. We also celebrated a birthday today! It was a great day!
