Today we used our cognitive skills with a rainbow color match. We sang "Rain Rain Go Away" and read Cloudette, a story about a little cloud. We used our fine motor skills by squeezing glue bottles and sticking cotton balls onto our globs of glue. We also explored how rain feels. We went outside with our umbrella to feel the rain; however since it wasn't raining we had to improvise and use a squirt bottle to make it rain! We had a splendid day!

We had an awesome day! We made rain sticks, we shook them and did the rain dance. So if it rains, you can thank us! We also read Drip Drop. We decorated a talking stick for our classroom. A talking stick is a wonderful tool that is used in conflict resolution. We also identified the difference and the likeness of rain boots matching activity.

This week we are learning about rain and rainbows. We sang and did hand
motions to "The Isty Bitsy Spider" and read Splash. We explored shaving cream and
made rain clouds in cup with shaving cream, water and food coloring. We used eye droppers to
make rain drop paintings by dropping the paint on a flat surface and on an inclined surface. The paint on the incline rolled down the paper like raindrops. We had a splendid day!
