What We Did Today!

Today we did a lot of holiday arts and crafts. We used our hands and feet to make some momentous keepsakes for our families. We can't wait to send them home tomorrow! We also read My Santa Claus, sang Christmas songs and did a snow dance.

Reindeer & Dancing

Today was such a fun day at school.

 We went on a reindeer hunt! Ms Daria had hidden reindeer all over the room. The Children had a blast trying to find them all.

After our reindeer hunt we wanted to get into some Christmas spirit. So we put on some upbeat Christmas music. We played music and danced for quite awhile. We grabbed out our bells and was dancing around the room shaking our jingle bells. Before we knew it we had to wash up for lunch.  Their favorite song was Jingle Bell Rock by Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Christmas is Here!

Today we had quite a fun day at school. We were working on getting our final Christmas tree decorations done. We sang a few christmas song like Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer.  We even got to test out our new play dough we made last week. Only thing was that our friends thought it was pretty tasty.

What We Did Today Dec. 14, 2012

Today we did our matching patches activities. We did a good job of matching the pictures of one set and matching the textures and colors of the other set. We also painted snow and handprint mittens.

What We Did Today Dec. 13, 2012

Today was Pajama Day! We all wore our favorite, most comfy pajamas! We also made "winter wonderland" pictures with our seasonal stamps and sang our Winter Wonderland song. 

What We Did Today Dec. 11, 2012

Today we read The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats. We looked at the snowflakes and talked about how we need our hats, coats and mittens when it is so cold outside. We also played the drums, played dress up and did one of our favorite activities, the pom-pom push.

What We Did Today Dec. 10, 2012

Today we made Kool-Aid play dough! We each had a turn pouring in an ingredient. It was only 4 simple ingredients: 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, 1 cup of hot water, and 1 packet of Kool-Aid. Then just mix and knead. We also colored coffee filters and made snowflakes. We found a new favorite toy for the day, our lock puzzle.

What We Did Today Dec. 5, 2012

Today we made handprint polar bears! We love to paint with our hands! We also pretended to be polar bears. We made our cozy space into a cave and crawled around like bears. 

What We Did Today Dec. 4, 2012

Today we made music and sang "I'm a Little Penguin!" We had a lot of fun in the motor room! We love jumping on the trampoline!

 We had a fun day! It was beautiful outside so before lunch we played outside. We played basketball and drew on the wall with chalk. We had a blast doing our art project. We made penguins with our footprints!
