Today, we read Guess Who? We explored our fine motor pom pom push activity, read books, built with blocks and played dress up. We also had our trunk-or-treat! It was SO much fun! Thanks to everyone who was able to participate! Happy Halloween Everyone!

Today, we read Five Little Pumpkins and used our felt board pieces to help tell the story. In one group we took apart and put together ghost cups. In the other group we did a monster matching activity. When looking at the monsters, we counted the numbers of eyes and labeled the color. Next, we pulled pumpkin guts out of a pumpkin and explored the stringy, gooey guts and the slippery seeds. We filled and dumped cups with bugs and transferred the bug with tongs. We also did puzzles and put pegs on the pegboards. We had a fun and busy day!

Something must be funny!

Working together to stack the cups!

Sorry about the Tink hat, Dad! We were trying to cover his ears.

Today we read Horns, Tails, Spikes and Claws and talked about our color of the week, purple. Next, we made monster slime by mixing glue and liquid starch. It was wet and squishy. We poked pegs in pumpkins. It was fun to take them in and out. We also made pumpkin faces and looked at our emotions poster. We took a walk outside today in the grassy area next to the building.

This week we are celebrating Halloween! Today we read Horns, Tails and In Between. Next, we explored spooky sensory gel bags that had eyeballs and spiders in them! We stamped paper sacks with halloween stamps to use at the trunk-or-treat and made contact paper pumpkins. We also had a visitor today who brought beans and scoops and did toddler aerobics with us! It was a fun, busy day!

Today, we read Bean's Night. Next, we pretended to be in a bat cave and feed our "bat." We finger-painted exploring what happened when we mixed the colors. We also played on the playground, drove tractors around the classroom, and sang "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and "Skinamirinky Dinky Doo."Have a great weekend!

Giggling and singing "Weather Watcher!"
