Happy Halloween! :) We had a blast getting all dressed up and going trick or treating today. Thank you to all of the moms, dads, and grandparents who came today. We  had so much fun today we got to go to the office, preschool room ,kitchen plus miss.lynn always has something very special so we did not  forget to pass by her desk. After all the excitement dialed down we had a tornado drill. It is always good to practice safety in case of an emergency. The babies did a wonderful job today with everything and we had a great time doing it.

Making some Play Dough

Today was such a fun day! :) We got to get a little bit messy we painted our pumpkins and we made some school made play dough. After getting all of our ingredients mixed together very well and adding in our color. We got to take a trip to the conference room to the microwave. We were successful in making green and red  microwave play dough. In the conference room we got to watch the ingredients grow and grow into some play dough.  :)

What We Did Today October 29, 2012

We had sensory fun today with pumpkin guts! We squished, squeezed, and smelled the pumpkin. Some of us even tried to taste it! It was messy and slimy, but we had fun! Thank you to our O.T. ladies for your helping hands!

Monster Week was a roar! Check out what we did!

Today we got creative and messy! We painted with our hands and feet to create a Frankenstein door decoration on our classroom door. We also sang "There's a Monster in My Closet and It's Green!" We had lots of fun today! Have a great weekend! 

What We Did Today Oct. 24, 2012

This morning we got moving with Miss Brittany and a game of kickball. This afternoon we got our imaginations flowing by playing dress up with Miss Daria and Miss Natalie. We had fun putting different hats on each other

October 23rd 2012 What We Did Today...

 This week we are talking about monsters! So today we made our  very own monsters some we're nice, some had twelve eyes, some were soft and hard.  We all got very creative today. We read two books  called Horns Tails, Spike and Claws.  which the children loved because they could mix and match different monster body parts. We also read Horns to Toes and in Between. They loved this book because we did a silly dance pointing out our body parts while reading.  

What We Did Today Oct. 22, 2012

 Today we got creative with playdough. We squished, squeezed, rolled and cut. We also went outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. Some of us really enjoyed playing with our ribbon wands and others enjoyed helping to clean up our outside area.

What We Did Today Oct. 18, 2012

Today we read The Snowy Day and enjoyed the beautiful illustrations. We also went to the motor room because our playground was still wet from yesterday. We went bowling and had some fun swing rides!

What We Did Today Oct. 17, 2012

 Today we started our day off by eating breakfast outside. We talked about how cool and cloudy it was.

After breakfast we played with pinwheels. Miss Brittany showed us how the pinwheels spin and then we held them in the air and let the wind spin them. It was very exciting! We talked about how rainy it looked outside and sang our song "Dripsy Dropsy."

What We Did Today Oct. 16, 2012

Today some of our toddler friends were very interested in helping out their little infant friends. They helped feed her and we talked about helping out. 

We also played outside and talked about the warm,sunny weather we were having. Some of our little friends quite enjoyed sitting in the shade rather than playing in the sun. 

What We Did Today Oct. 15, 2012

Today we started Weather Week. Miss Natalie read our book Weather to the kids and talked to them about different types of weather. We also looked at some pictures of different types of weather. When we went outside we talked about how it was warm and sunny. 

     

        

A major event took place during snack time today. We celebrate our little friend's 2nd birthday! We also started his transition into the preschool room. He really enjoyed outdoor play time with the big preschoolers!

Today was a great day in the baby room. We have been learning a lot about bugs this week. Today we did a fine motor activity that they all loved to do. It is very simple to make and you can even do it at home. Recycle a canister with a lid on it, put some hole in the top of the lid.  As simple as that and they  all loves this. We used straws and pipe cleaners to represent putting our worms away.

Yesterday October 10th 2012 was quite an eventful day at CLC. Yesterday was all about safety in the morning we had a fire drill. Which in the baby room is super fun! Who doesn't  want to go for a ride outside in their cribs. Then later on in the day we had some very heroic firefighters stop in. They came in their firetrucks which was the coolest part of our day. We sang a firefighters song to the tune of " I'm a Little Teapot".

What We Did Today! October 9, 2012

Today we did an activity with sensory balloons. We sorted them by color and we squeezed them to feel the different textures of the contents inside of the balloons. This is a fun and inexpensive activity to do with your children. All you need are balloons, a funnel and whatever contents you choose to put into your balloons. We filled ours with flour, oatmeal flakes, crushed Ramen noodles, and whole almonds. 

We also went on a sandy bug hunt!
