It was party day!!! We started the day with our ornament themed french toast and waffles that Ms. Tammy made. Then, it was time for our holiday party! We had so much fun and want to say thank you to all of the parents that participated making this party a great success. We did our holiday themed songs, rang bells to Jingle Bells, exchanged gifts, and decorated foam gingerbread men and stockings. At circle time, we read Merry Christmas, Mouse and found out the the weather is still cool, but warmer than it has been lately! The snow on the playground finally melted away and we got to go outside today! We had a fantastic Friday! Thank you all for everything this year! We will come back at school from break on Monday, January 6th!

We had a great day talking about the upcoming holidays and discussing our party that's coming up, tomorrow! Today at circle time we read, Duck and Goose: It's Time for Christmas. For small groups we put peppermints and candy canes into milk and water to see what happened. The mints turned the milk pink and it smelled like peppermint and the water turned purple and dissolved the stripes off of the candy cane, which smelled like grape. Next, we colored snowflake ornaments to show off our artistic talents. We also added bells to our sensory bin that's full of water beads! Our friends danced, sang, and rang bells in the motor room for music and movement time. Then, we swung on the swing and played the day away.

What a fun day we had back from our snow days! Today we enjoyed making crafts to send home with the kids that we will finish throughout the week. We had so much fun doing activities that we forgot to take pictures! For our first activity we matched lower case and uppercase letters. For our second group we did matching shapes. We had such a good day! 

Today, our activities were a tasty treat! We got to explore our sense of taste, and we had so much fun.
We had the option to try watered down lemon juice, apple juice, or both! We also talked about the coloring of each drink, along with the different smells. We had a fantastic Friday.

Today, during circle time we read The Magic School Bus Comes to its Senses. For our first small group activity, we sorted fruit loops by their colors. For our second small group we traced our names with glue and then sprinkled cinnamon on it that way we could use our sense of smell! We had an awesome day.
