During our circle time today, we read Penguins and continued our talk about the upcoming holidays. In our first small group, we got to explore the "snow" that we worked together to make yesterday. In our second group, we used q-tips to make polka-dot gingerbread men! And in our final group, we practiced sequencing by putting numbered Christmas lights in numerical order. We had a great day!

For our final small group, we identified letters to match Christmas trees. We had a terrific Tuesday.

It's Friday fun day! We spent our morning snuggled up watching The Grinch Stole Christmas. We had so much fun this week learning about our five senses that we gave ourselves the day off! We hope you all enjoy your weekend.

Of our five senses, the one we discussed today was touch or feel. We explored water beads and talked about how they were squishy and cold. We also explored shaving cream and talked about how it smelled good and how soft it was on our hands! We had a super fun day!

Of our five senses, the sense we talked about today was taste, and we had a blast with it! We spent out first activity trying lemons and marshmallows to compare sweet and sour tasting food. For our second activity, we practiced tracing the letter "P" in upper and lowercase. For our final small group, we filled out a taste test paper and decided what types of foods we did and didn't like. We had a wonderful Wednesday.

Our sense that we discussed today was smell! For our first small group activity, we played the 5 senses game, and sorted objects by which sense we use to identify it. For our second small group activity, we traced our letter of the week, "P" and covered it with cinnamon to make it smell good! For our final small group activity, we smelled different scents such as vinegar and coco powder and sorted them by whether they smelled good or bad. We had terrific Tuesday.
