Today, during circle time we read There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Chick! For one of our small groups we explored the sensory bin. We used magnet sticks to pick up eggs, and then identified the letter written on the egg. For our other small group we sorted jelly beans by color, and then counted how many of each color we had. After doing so, we wrote the number on paper and made a chart! For our large group we practiced our hole punching skills on paper eggs. We had an amazing day.

Today, during circle time we read Easter Parade! For one of our small groups we did egg math. We counted the dots on one shell, found the number on another shell, and then put them together! For our other small group we did lacing with bunny rabbits. For our last small group, we did egg balancing! We walked from one end of the hallway to the other, balancing a plastic egg on a spoon, and trying super hard not to crack it open. We had an egg-citing day!

Today, during circle time we read EGG-napped. For one of our small groups we used Easter eggs to create patterns. For our other small group we practiced our cutting skills, and cut paper into strips. For our large group we did a jelly bean science experiment. We took a handful of the same colored jelly bean, put it in a bottle mixed with water, and then shook it up to see that it changed the color of the water! We had a fantastic day.
