Today, was the start of our Dr. Seuss week so we wore mix-match, backwards, and inside out clothes! For circle time we read One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. For one of our small groups we went fishing! We used magnetic fishing poles to catch different colored fish with different numbers and shapes on them. For our other small group, we were given pattern cards to choose from with big fish, small fish, and different colored fish. We then had to match our patterns with the fishies in our circle time pond! For our large group we decorated cut-outs of fish with tissue paper. We also got to play with a fish bubble machine during our gross motor time! We caught ourselves a pretty fantastic day(:

Today, during circle time we read How Does a Dinosaur Say I'm Mad? For one of our small groups we played in the sand and uncovered dinosaur bones. For our other small group we used vinegar and baking soda to create lava from a volcano. For our last small group, we voted on which dinosaur was our favorite, and then we tallied up which dinosaur had the most favorites! We had a super fun Friday

Today, during circle time we read How Do dinosaurs Learn to Read? For one of our small groups we used magnifying glasses in our sensory bin, to find rocks that had letters of the alphabet written on them. For our other small group, we created sticky mud, and then walked dinosaurs through it! For our large group, we used different shapes to create our own dinosaurs. We had an awesome day!

Today, during circle time we read Oh Say Can You Say Din-o-saur? For our first small group we put plastic eggs in egg cartons, and then counted how many they could hold. For our other small group we tried to bake cookies with play-dough eggs, until we realized there were baby dinosaurs inside! For our large group we paint-dotted dinosaur eggs with all sorts of designs. We had a fantastic day!
